Slow Food has developed as a response not just to fast food, but to fast life which threatens our environment, our landscape, and our rhythm of life.

   Slow Food Hudson Valley's mission

To gather and share information with our members and the larger community about food and the farm heritage of the region;

To support local farms, wineries, and other food purveyors in the Hudson Valley;

To encourage the nexus of community, culture, and farm through outreach;

And to celebrate the valley's culinary riches by inviting people back to the pleasures of the table.

The Slow Food Hudson Valley Convivium, an all-volunteer, not-for-profit group, was officially recognized by Slow Food USA in June 2002. Members come from throughout the region and share a common interest in food, culture, and the beauty of the Hudson Valley in New York state. We meet quarterly and sponsor (and cosponsor) events that advance the convivium's mission. Archive of past events
