Join Us for a Special Farm Tour at Sky High Farm
Sunday, August 24 · 675 Hall Hill Rd, Pine Plains, NY 12567 - Free Event
Slow Food Hudson Valley invites you to a behind-the-scenes tour of Sky High Farm, a 40-acre regenerative farm in Ancramdale, NY, founded in 2012 by artist Dan Colen to address urgent gaps in the local food system.
Led by our Co-Chair Phil Haynes—who also serves as Sky High’s Director of Farm Operations—this in-depth tour will explore the farm’s pastured livestock and no-till vegetable operations. It’s a rare opportunity to walk the land with someone who lives and breathes its mission.
Sky High Farm has distributed over 200,000 pounds of nutrient-dense food, with 98% donated to individuals and families experiencing food and nutrition insecurity in Dutchess and Columbia Counties. But their work doesn’t stop there. Sky High is also a research hub, training ground, and catalyst for food justice—partnering with ecologists, educators, and grassroots organizations to reshape how we grow, share, and think about food. In 2023, they expanded to a historic 560-acre site and are transforming it into a model of regenerative land stewardship.
Come see how food, farming, and justice come together on the ground.
